Jewish Amsterdam and the Holocaust: Tours and Museums

The Jewish Quarter east of the Nieuwmarkt was the centre of one of the oldest Jewish communities in Europe. Around 102,000 Jewish people were deported from the Netherlands between 1940 and 1945; fewer than 5,500 returned. The National Holocaust Museum, the Portuguese Synagogue and the Jewish Museum stand within a few streets of each other, and the walks below cover the quarter as it was and as it is. Listed without ranking.
